We are a paediatric friendly company aiming to provide quick, easy and affordable healthcare when you need that little bit extra. If you want your child to be seen quickly, or need a second opinion, we can provide either face to face or video consultations via Teams or Zoom etc. 

Autism assessments are done in a stress free and friendly manner to suit you and we do not have huge waiting lists. We provide links to cognitive assessments, psychology support and speech and language therapy if required. We also provide post diagnostic support for medical issues.

Bio

Dr. Mohan is a general paediatrician with a special interest in neurodevelopmental paediatrics, including autism spectrum condition.

Qualifications: MBBS, MRCPCH.

Dr. Mohan graduated with merit from one of India's top medical colleges - St. John's Medical College, Bangalore. She then completed postgraduation MRCPCH from UK. This included training in the Newcastle hospitals as junior doctor and completion of training with a registrar number in the London deanery. She trained with a special interest in endocrinology from Great Ormond Street Hospital adolescent ward in UCLH. She then took up a consultant post in Oxford university hospitals NHS Trust.

As a consultant, she was part of the diabetes team. She set up an obesity clinic at the Horton General hospital and was a paediatrician for the eating disorders team at Oxford Health. During this time, Dr. Mohan realized that a lot of children with eating difficulties ( under or over eating) have undiagnosed autism spectrum condition. This led to her training in this while working as a community paediatrician at Warwick hospital. She developed expertise in the medical and behavioural presentations of autism and attended courses on ARFID. She was involved in the development of the pathway for ARFID services in South Warwickshire and has written the guideline for Oxford University hospitals.

She continues to work at the Horton General Hospital ( OUH NHS Trust) and is involved in the training of junior doctors and teaching medical students. She has undertaken and published a few research projects and presented at conferences. She has won various awards during her training career. She continues to pursue her interest in autism by keeping updated with latest research and continues to attend courses of interest in general paediatrics.

Dr. Mohan's ethos is to provide compassionate, ethical and safe paediatric care. She allows time for patients and parents to feel listened to and is motivated to continue pursuing excellence in the care that she provides.

 

Claire Huxford is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. She qualified in 2005 and has worked in neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnostic services for 15 years, continually developing and expanding her knowledge and skills and keeping up-to-date with research and advancements. Claire has a particular interest, expertise and specialist training in the experience of Autistic girls and children who ‘mask’ their differences. Other areas of expertise include AuDHD (co-occurring autism and ADHD), demand avoidance (pervasive desire for autonomy) and situational mutism. Claire’s approach is friendly, warm, considerate and caring. She focuses on creating a fun and informal experience for the child during assessments so that they feel as comfortable as possible and certainly does not feel like a 'test'. Claire prides herself on her neuro-affirmative approach which is reflected in her assessment delivery and reports. Assessments can be delivered either in person or remotely. Careful consideration is given on an individual basis when deciding whether video-link assessment is appropriate and able to meet the child’s needs. Claire has been delivering online assessments since 2018 has adapted and refined the observation session so that it is thorough and delves beyond what might be captured from an ADOS-2 assessment alone.
